SUBMISSIONS
HISTORICAL SUBMISSIONS
We are always actively seeking submissions from New York Historical Societys who have publications that are either out of print, or never had an ISBN (International Standards Book Number) assigned to them. Please e-mail us at historicalsociety@wrbooks.com.
We are also interested in receiving submissions of novella length (20,000 - 35,000 plus words) Long Island memoirs, historical journeys, anecdotes, never-before-published historical reference literature relating specifically to Long Island.
IMPORTANT GUIDELINES
From past experience, we realize many sources of historical literature are hand-written, or in some sort of unorthodox, old-fashioned format. This is perfectly fine and welcomed. BUT PLEASE DO NOT SEND US ORIGINAL MATERIALS. PLEASE MAKE A COPY OF THE FIRST TEN TO TWENTY PAGES ONLY, AND SUBMIT THE COPIES. DO NOT SEND ORIGINALS UNLESS SPECIFICALLY INSTRUCTED BY Wading River Books. If copies cannot be made please submit a detailed description of the work and arrangements for a local representative to see the work(s) in person can often be arranged.

We are not currently accepting children's book submissions.
