HISTORICAL SUBMISSIONS
We are always actively seeking submissions from New York Historical Societys who have publications that are either out of print, or never had an ISBN (International Standards Book Number) assigned to them. We are also interested in receiving submissions of novella length (20,000 - 35,000 plus words) Long Island memoirs, historical journeys, anecdotes, never-before-published historical reference literature relating specifically to Long Island.
IMPORTANT GUIDELINES
From past experience, we realize many sources of historical literature are hand-written, or in some sort of unorthodox, old-fashioned format. This is perfectly fine and welcomed. BUT PLEASE DO NOT SEND US ORIGINAL MATERIALS. PLEASE MAKE A COPY OF THE FIRST TEN TO TWENTY PAGES ONLY, AND SUBMIT THE COPIES. DO NOT SEND ORIGINALS UNLESS SPECIFICALLY INSTRUCTED BY Wading River Books. If copies cannot be made please submit a detailed description of the work and arrangements for a local representative to see the work(s) in person can often be arranged.

CHILDREN'S BOOKS SUBMISSIONS
We will begin accepting children's book submissions January 1st, 2008. Please revisit this page and we will list our guidelines and what books we are primarily seeking.
FICTION SUBMISSIONS
In the Spring of 2008 we will launch a Fiction Imprint with a primary focus on New York/ Long Island-based suspense/ mystery/ romance. Please check back later in the year for more details to come.
